Patient Flow enhances patient care and communication at Hendrick Health System
Hendrick Health System, a leading healthcare provider in the Texas Midwest, introduced Altera Patient Flow™ in February 2020, to streamline and improve patients' experiences across the enterprise. This solution enables staff members to monitor patients from registration to discharge as they have real-time information on patient locations and statuses to prevent delays and bottlenecks. Secure messaging, task management and real-time alerts help providers work together more efficiently.
While Patient Flow is a daily tool for clinical staff, it also helps the Environmental Services Staff (EVS) at Hendrick, such as maintenance and housekeeping. Since it can prioritize beds for cleaning based on status, it improves overall patient flow by enabling patients to reach their beds in a more efficient manner. This supports Hendrick's staff in reducing cold beds and housekeeping delays.
